Preparing for the appointment

We accompanied people applying for disability cards to the Regional Hospital Bamenda on 13 August 2026. Medical screening and the associated documentation formed part of the application process. Four people were scheduled to attend.

Support on the day

Three people attended with support from our team and parents or guardians. We helped them navigate the appointment. The public account includes the purpose of the visit and attendance, while the clinical details remain in the families’ private records.

Following the remaining steps

Our report records completion of screening for the three people who attended. It does not confirm that their cards had been issued. We planned to contact the person who could not attend and help with the remaining process. Families can ask us about the guidance currently available.

The day at the Regional Hospital

On 13 August, the organisation accompanied applicants to the Regional Hospital Bamenda for the screening connected with disability-card documentation. Four people had been expected and three attended. Parents or guardians were involved in supporting the appointment.

The team’s practical role was to accompany people through the process. The report records completion of screening for those present and an intention to follow up the absent person. It contains personal details and images from the visit, which need their own publication context. This public account uses the previously prepared photograph with faces obscured.

After screening

Screening is one part of an administrative application. The report does not say the cards were issued on that day. Further documentation, transmission and collection can be separate steps, as other archive records show. Readers seeking support can contact CVID-Cam about the current process.

The recorded attendance relates to this appointment. It is not a yearly screening total. Clinical findings, diagnoses and personal contact information remain in the applicants’ private records.
