From contact to distribution

Following contact with CDENO in May and submission of a shortlist, seven participants received support at the CDENO premises on 8 August. The distribution was organised with the Emergency Project to Combat Food Crisis in Cameroon, PULCCA. The report records the delivery of chicks, feed and equipment.

What needs follow-up

Receipt of poultry inputs is a starting point for further monitoring. This report does not establish later flock survival, sales or household income. A September meeting provided an opportunity to discuss progress and challenges with those who attended. This CDENO project is separate from the January City Council-supported training group.

From the initial contact to distribution

The coordinator first approached CDENO in May 2025 and was asked to submit information for ten potential participants. The organisation prepared the requested details. The distribution took place on Friday 8 August at CDENO’s premises, working with PULCCA. Seven of the ten shortlisted people received support.

The report’s item list gives each recipient 50 three-week-old chicks, one bag of feed, two feeders and one drinker. A later September account describes the group’s follow-up meeting but uses different wording for the chicks’ age. The distribution-day list remains the source for the package described here.

What this delivery establishes

Recipients expressed appreciation and photographs were taken. The original table includes names, contact details and personal circumstances. Those details are held privately. The public account keeps the group count, programme context and items delivered.

This is a separate group from the five-person City Council project and the earlier Regional Assembly-supported training. Receipt of chicks and equipment establishes a starting input. Whether production continued, what costs arose and whether income improved require follow-up. Four members of this seven-person group later attended the September meeting.
