A gathering on 4 January
A donor-supported gathering took place on 4 January 2024. A contribution from a supporter in the United States was delivered through a local intermediary. Five people received support intended to help them sustain small income-generating activities.
The intermediary opened with prayer and thanked those who had made the contribution possible. She encouraged participants to consider how the support could be put into an activity that would continue to help their households. The coordinator also expressed appreciation to the donor and intermediary.
What participants discussed
The report records expressions of gratitude and discussion of previous assistance with basic needs. The coordinator encouraged the recipients to invest carefully in petty businesses and look after the activity’s resources. Photographs were taken at the end of the gathering.
