Adapting the poultry plan
At a meeting on 2 August, we discussed how to adapt the poultry project supported by the North West Regional Assembly to the funding received. Members reviewed the proposed group size, chicks, equipment, feed, training and monitoring. These were implementation decisions. The meeting alone does not confirm the later delivery of each item.
Inclusive education and family support
On 16 August, our coordinator facilitated an inclusive-education session for teachers at ITCIG SENTTI IDNAPS. The session addressed moving from exclusion towards inclusion, with time for questions. Our monthly record also includes family visits and referral discussions. These accounts describe what we did during the month, rather than a measured change in learning or wellbeing.
Adapting the poultry plan to available resources
At a meeting on 2 August, members considered how to implement the Regional Assembly-supported poultry project with less funding than proposed. They discussed reducing the intended group and number of birds, providing housing and basic equipment, inviting a technician and sharing an initial supply of feed.
The plan assigned resources to mobilisation, training, monitoring and documentation as well as inputs. Members were asked to check local prices. This is the planning stage of the Regional Assembly project. The December training and February 2024 monitoring accounts provide evidence of later implementation.
Inclusive education and continuing referrals
On 16 August, the coordinator presented a seminar for teachers at ITCIG SENTTI IDNAPS. She introduced CVID-Cam, discussed moving from segregation towards inclusion and addressed intellectual disability and support strategies. Questions allowed teachers to seek clarification, and photographs were taken.
The month also included household and hospital visits, contact with the Listening and Orientation Unit, and collection of two completed disability cards. Other cards remained pending. A separate food-assistance request had not resulted in the inclusion of the submitted participants. The account records that gap alongside the actions carried out.
